Ingredients:incredibrie cheesy maroilles tart maroilles r tart che*optional

Maroilles (or any soft, smelly cheese)hhh

Puff pastry – enough to line a quiche dishh

Crème fraiche – enough to fill the tart hhh

Salt & pepper

Fried onions*

Bacon*

Method:

  1. Line the quiche tray with puff pastry
  2. Slice the Maroilles and place it all over the bottom of the lined tray to create an incredibrie cheesy layer
  3. Mix the salt and pepper into the crème fraiche and add the onions and bacon if using (careful with the salt – you don’t want to lose the contrast between the strong cheese and the light crème fraiche)
  4. Fill the pastry with the crème fraiche mixture, leaving a small gap around the top for the filling to expand
  5. Bake at 190 degrees for around 25 minutes or until set (it won’t set completely, this kind of tart isn’t as solid as a quiche!)
  6. Serve whilst watching Bienvenue les Ch’tis for a true northern French experience*.

And that’s it! If you have any suggestions of spices or ingredients to add, let us know in the comments below.
