INGREDIENTS:

1 Camembert

4 Figs

3 tbs demerara sugar

A few walnuts

Honey

A crusty bagette

‘What cheese do you use to lure a bear from its cave?

-Camembert!’

METHOD:

Pre-heat the oven to 150 degrees, then place the Camembert in the oven whole in it’s wooden box, not forgetting to remove any plastic wrapping.

Meanwhile, roughly chop the walnuts and place on a baking tray.

Slice the figs and coat both sides in sugar (they also work great quartered!)

Put a frying pan on a medium-low heat and fry the figs until the sugar melts into a lovely gooey glaze.

After about 20 minutes, roast the walnuts in the oven until lightly toasted.

After 30 minutes take out the Camembert. Using a sharp knife cut a circle out of the top leaving a few millimetres of lip so that the oozy goodness stays inside the rind.

Arrange the figs in the melted cheese, sprinkle on the walnuts and drizzle some gloopy honey over the top to finish and dip away!
